Yahoo Recruit Ex-Microsoft Officials for Websites
3 November Monday, Yahoo Inc., one of the biggest internet giants, announced that it has hired ex-executive of Microsoft Corp., Jeff Dossett to run the company’s news and entertainment web sites in the USA. In most recent times, He was general manager of Microsoft’s MSN.com. Dossett, an accomplished and skilled mountain climber, is going to replace Scott Moore, another former Microsoft alumnus. Moore helped program MSN as well before joining Yahoo Company in the year of 2005. After joining Dossett in the company, Scott is leaving to pursue new opportunities.
Scott Moore spent the past 3 1/2 years steering a number of the most-read and important sections of Yahoo’s popular web sites. He joins a long line of Yahoo executives who have defected throughout the last two years as the Sunnyvale-based company and struggles to remove financial funk that has already hammered its stock price. On the other hand, no less than 1,500 Yahoo workers, or roughly 10 percent of the company’s employees, will be cut off before the end of current year as part of a cost-cutting purge.
Besides, Dossett yahoo has already recruited Joanne Bradford as top advertising sales executive in the USA. Bradford and Dossett, both worked together at Microsoft before joined here.
