If you’re not comfortable with cold calling, you need to do some practices first. Since you practically know nothing about the person that you want to call, make sure you learn about them while you do the cold calls. Get as many information as possible, and ties your offer using the information that you get.

For example, the person probably wants to buy it, but their spouses will kill them if they did. Entice your offer by telling them why their spouses won’t kill them if their buy your products or simply ask them to give the phone to their spouses and let you talk to them. You could even ask them to use the speaker phone so you could take to each other freely.

Often, the people who do the cold call neglected the person that they called after they make a purchase. You don’t have to do that. You could keep follow up your previous customers and let them know about new products from your company and tell them how they could get it. This will make yourself get higher points in your customer’s eyes, that’s the customer service quality ! And they eventually will call you back when they want to get additional purchases.
